Maya Lyubomirsky is a Knapp Research Fellow and an MA student in the English Department at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is currently writing her thesis on the representation of female Jewish converts to Christianity in William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice and Christopher Marlowe's The Jew of Malta. Maya completed her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of California, Irvine. She plans to pursue a PhD, focusing on topics related to Jewish representation in English literature.
