Congratulations for Posen Fellows

We are pleased to congratulate Rona Dinur, Irit Chen and Livia Tagliacozzo, Felix Posen Fellows at The Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism, for receiving prestigious fellowships for their advanced academic studies.

Ms. Rona Dinur, who examines the concept of discrimination, has received the Post-Doctoral Fellowship at The Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Tel Aviv University.

Weisz's forthcoming bookJews and Muslims in Contemporary Spain: Redefining National Boundaries, will be published in The Vidal Sassoon Studies in Antisemitism, Racism, and Prejudice series by De Gruyter Oldenbourg. The book analyses the symbolic and material roles attributed to both Muslims and Jews in contemporary Spain.

On Monday, 17th of December, The S. Daniel Abraham Center for International and Regional Studies in Tel-Aviv University held an international conference titled "Spain and the Jews, 1933–1950". Prof. Manuela Consonni, SICSA's director, and Dr. Martina Weisz, research fellow at SICSA, took part in the conference.

Call for Applicants: Robert Wistrich Prizes 2019

The Vidal Sasson International Center for the Study of Antisemitism is honored to announce the awarding of up to four awards in the academic year 2018/19 to young researchers who have shown exceptional excellence, depth and originality in their academic work, and whose research investigates antisemitism, anti-Jewish hostility and the mechanisms of antisemitic prejudice through the ages, including comparative perspectives on other forms of discrimination and racism.
