Professor Yuval Shany is the Hersch Lauterpacht Chair in International Law and former Dean of the Law Faculty of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prof. Shany directs the CyberLaw program at the Hebrew University Federmann Cyber Security Research Center and is also Vice President for Research at the Israel Democracy Institute and Co-director of the International Law Forum at the Hebrew University Law Faculty. He served until 2020 as a member of the UN Human Rights Committee (Member, 2013–2020; Vice Chair, 2017–2018, 2019–2020. Chair, 2018–2019).
