Annemarie Ammer is a Master student of the programme Social Work and Human Rights at the University of Gothenburg (2016-2018), Sweden. As part of her studies she completed a field placement at the Vidal Sassoon Center in May and June 2017, in which she explored the challenges of antisemitism for professional social work practice. Her current research focus with view to her master's thesis deals with putting the topic of antisemitism into the framework of human rights and social work. In 2016 she finished her Bachelor studies of International Social Work in Germany (Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts), including a research-based exchange semester at a partner university in Bogotá, Colombia (Universidad Nacional de Colombia). Her reseach interests further include topics of racism, sexism, extreme right-wing populism as well as forms of modern antisemitism.
